Ricardo Bharath-Hernandez, President of the Santa Rosa Carib Community
Ricardo is a cousin to most members of the Carib Community who are of his same generation. He is a nephew to most of those who are a generation or more older. His mother and siblings reside in the United States. His father’s mother was from St. Vincent, Constance da Silva, who married a Bharath, and she was also of Carib descent. Ricardo's grandfather Bharath had parents who married "Spanish" people in Arima (i.e., referred to as mestizo and mulatto elsewhere). |
